Overcoming Anxiety
Turning The Volume Down

Anxious Without Knowing Why
Anxiety is the mind's alarm system stuck in the on position. It is the low-grade hum of worry that never fully quiets, the physical tension that accumulates in your body, and the endless scenarios that keep you up at night. Sometimes it escalates into panic attacks, which can be terrifying.
Ordinary situations can feel charged with threat even when you know nothing is objectively wrong. Social situations, work demands, health concerns, the future, can all be fuel for anxiety.
Fortunately, anxiety is highly treatable. Understanding what triggers it and learning to interrupt the thought patterns that feed it are learnable skills, not personality traits you either have or don't.
You don't have to white-knuckle your way through the rest of your life. Therapy can help you turn the volume down to something manageable.
